STUDENTS’ ARRIVAL AND DISMISSAL PROCEDURES

September 1, 2017

Parents/Guardians:

Effective September 1, 2017, the Senator Frank Lautenberg school day will begin at 8:15 am; and will continue to end at 4:00 pm. No student is to arrive or dropped off before 7:45 am. All kindergarten students will be dropped off and picked up at dismal time from the auditorium.

All students will have the opportunity to participate in the districts’ breakfast program between 7:45 am - 8:15 am. No student will be denied access to breakfast.

There will be no dismissal from 3:10 pm to 4:00 pm. Students may be picked up from school only by their parent, or by another non-student adult who has been authorized by the students’ parent in writing, or by designation on the schools’ emergency contact form. No student will be released by telephone request. Prior authorization must be submitted to the Main Office and signed by the students’ parent. Authorized adults must come to the Main Office with photo identification.

Students must be in school for at least four hours per day, in order for the day not to be counted as an absence.

Should a parent have an emergency at pick up time and is going to be late, please contact the school. Senator Frank Lautenberg staff will never leave children unattended.  However, we will follow districts’ policy and notify the proper officials if your child is not picked up by 4:30 pm. Emergency numbers must be accurate and kept updated to avoid this situation.

All students who are transported by bus to school, will be returned by bus to their pick up location. Students who are not returning on the bus, must be signed out at the main office. Again, no student will be released by telephone request.

Sincerely,

Boblyn Ranger-Dobbs
